Gifting of the fourth tranche of election-related assistance to Nepal

    The fourth tranche of election-related assistance from the Government of India to Nepal was ceremonially handed over by Consul General Shri Devi Sahai Meena to Mr.  Bhola Dahal, Chief District Officer, Parsa, at an event held in Birgunj on 1 March 2026.

2.     The fourth tranche of assistance gifted to the Government of Nepal includes 30 one ton trucks and other supplies, in accordance with the assistance sought by Nepal for preparations related to the upcoming elections in the country.

3.    In his remarks, Chief District Officer Mr. Bhola Dahal thanked the Government of India for the timely election-related assistance provided to Nepal. 

4.     The first three tranches of such election-related assistance, comprising over 580 vehicles and other supplies from the Government of India, have already been handed over to Nepal.

5.     The ongoing cooperation and support from the Indian side reflects the multi-faceted and multi-sectoral development partnership that exists between both countries. It also symbolizes the deep mutual trust and friendship between the people of India and Nepal.
